| Have you got any stats/info for the weight you lost or fat percentage drop or increases in muscle mass/strength etc? I didn't measure my fat percentages, though now I wish I had! I did keep an eye on my weight though, and over the course of the challenge I lost 7lbs (from 164lbs to 157lbs). Any record of the diet you followed to get in great shape? This is the bit we are interested in! I didn't actually follow any specific plan in order to take part in the challenge, so there's no great secret! As this kind of thing was new to me I decided to stick to being well hydrated and eating as clean a diet as possible. This meant over the 30 days I are mostly lean meat/fish, vegetables, nuts, fruit, brown rice and sources of good fats, as well as my usual whey protein shakes. I tried to avoid foods that I knew bloated me - no bread. What about your training? What did you do? Anything different to your normal routine? I stuck to my usual routine of weight training and HIIT, though I did notice that cleaning up my diet made my training far more effective as I had more energy, and could complete all my sessions with better form. I trained 3-4 times a week. How long did the transformation take? I noticed some changes quite quickly; within a few days I felt less bloated and my stomach looked flatter. The bigger changes didn't come until the third week though, and I remember some of my followers on Twitter advising me that changes would appear if I kept at it - they were right! I thought nothing was happening, but as the challenge was drawing to a close my waist seemed to tighten dramatically in a day or two. Any cheating or were you 100% committed to the challenge? I'd be lying if I said I was an angel for the entire 30 days! I had maybe three days overall where I had some chocolate or a general cheat - but nothing massive. I think that kept me sane; if I hadn't had those little treats I'd probably have given up, so they were worth it in the long run. So, there you have it. Again there is no short cut to a great physique. Eat good quality natural foods, train hard and generally look after yourself well for a month and you too could achieve some great transformations! |
