Richard Chessor – Top 5 Tips On Nutrition
#1 Plan
Have a plan and use it. Whether it’s a simple shopping list, a weekly meal planner or a fully tailored diet plan, a little bit of planning can save you a lot of time, money and stress.
#2 Square Peg, Square Hole
Always make sure your diet fits around your life and not the other way round. No nutrition plan will be successful in the long-term unless it has the flexibility to move along with your lifestyle.
#3 Challenge the Conventional
Do you need to have breakfast every day? Do you need to have lunch between 12-2pm? Spend some time challenging conventional nutrition beliefs and experimenting with your diet. Don’t let your environment lead you down a track you don’t want or need to take.
#4 Start with Water
Start each day with 0.5-1litres of water. Before your stomach is bombarded with porridge and eggs bathed in coffee, give it a chance to wake up and support digestion by taking on some room temperature water.
#5 Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff
Focus on the process, not the detail. Does it matter if you have a protein shake 61min after the gym? No. What does matter is that you trained and had some protein. Consistently execute the process and the detail looks after itself.
