Whilst you can’t necessarily eat a lot of meat on the Keto diet, as too much protein can force you out of ketosis, you want to know that the meat you are eating is good quality.
Grass fed beef is a great high quality protein, thanks to the natural lifestyle and diet of the cattle.
So, below are five Keto-friendly beef recipes for you to try (just make sure you use good quality grass fed beef in them!)…
Keto Beef Stroganoff
Protein: 30.1g | Carbs: 3.4g | Fat: 23.5g
This is a really easy dish to make and this particular recipe uses beef brisket.
To make the sauce, combine mushrooms, onions, apple cider vinegar, sour cream, thyme, garlic and avocado oil – a great healthy fat.
Keto Beef Goulash
Protein: 20g | Carbs: 6g | Fat: 38g
This Hungarian beef goulash can be enjoyed straight out of the bowl or with a side of cauliflower rice.
Keto Mongolian Beef
Protein: 40g | Carbs: 5g | Fat: 17g
Mongolian beef is traditionally loaded with sugar – this recipe replaces it with a zero carb keto-friendly version.
It’s still equally as delicious, uses bavette steak and can also be served with cauliflower rice.
Keto Pizza Casserole with Ground Beef
Protein: 41g | Carbs: 8g | Fat: 41g
Pizza! But not quite as we know it – this keto-friendly pizza casserole is layered with beef mince, sausage, marinara sauce, cheese and pepperoni.
It’s another quick and simple recipe that doesn’t compromise on nutrition or flavour.
Keto Tex-Mex Beef Casserole
Protein: 29g | Carbs: 4g | Fat: 19g
Another beef mince recipe, you can make this Tex-Mex beef casserole as spicy as you like. You can also swap out the beef mince for turkey, pork or even chicken!
